A week before the planned inauguration of the much-awaited Noida corridor, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation chief E Sreedharan inspected the tracks and stations on the line on Monday. The 13.1-km line from Yamuna Bank in East Delhi to Noida Sector-32 was scheduled to be opened by October-end. But it is now likely to be inaugurated on November 10 or 11 — before the India International Trade Fair begins on November 14. Sreedharan boarded a trial train from the Yamuna Bank station in the morning and checked all ten stations till Noida Sector 32. He was accompanied by DMRC technical staff and other officials. Around 53,000 passengers are expected to use the Noida corridor daily.
