Much-awaited Apple's iPhone 5 will be available in retail stores in India from November 2.
An Apple India spokesperson said distributors Ingram Micro and Redington India will start supplying iPhone 5 from November 2 to retailers.
Ingram Micro and Redington India are authorised distributors of Apple products in India.
Ingram Micro in a statement said "it will offer iPhone 5 at leading modern trade stores and retail outlets across India beginning Friday, November 2".
However, neither Ingram Micro nor Redington India revealed the price of iPhone 5 in India. Apple also did not disclose the India price.
According to Ingram Micro spokesperson, iPhone 5 will be launched in 40 cities in India.
Redington India could not be reached for its comments.
iPhone 5 measures 7.6 millimetres thin and weighs 112 grams which is 18 per cent thinner and 20 per cent lighter than iPhone 4S.
This new version of iPhone 5 has 4-inch display.
This new phone is built on A6 chip, which Apple says, is up to twice as fast compared with the A5 chip that were available in previous version of phone.
"So apps launch, web pages load and email attachments appear almost instantly," Apple said in a statement.
The price of iPhone 5 for India consumers was not disclosed by neither Apple nor Ingram Micro.
