iPhone 5
Latest phone is 18 per cent thinner (7.6 mm), 20 per cent lighter (112 grams) than the iPhone 4S. It has a bigger 4-inch Retina Display which is supposed to give better colour saturation. The new phone also has a bigger battery, which Apple says will last for 10 hours on WiFi and 8 on 4G. The phone also has an 8-megapixel iSight camera, which can click panorama pictures. It will be available in two colours, black and white. The phone is expected to arrive in India in November and cost around Rs 45,000. However, there was no official information on pricing or availability.
Older iPhones
Apple announced that it will discontinue the iPhone 3GS, which was available for around Rs 21,000. Price cuts are expected for the iPhone 4 and 4S. The price of the iPhone 4 is expected to be slashed to around Rs 22,000, making it the cheapest iPhone in the market. Official confirmation is awaited.
iPod Nano & Touch
The new iPod Nano is bigger than its previous generation counterpart. It's thickness is 5.4 mm and it has a 2.5-inch multi-touch display. The Nano now supports Bluetooth and comes in seven colours. The new iPod Touch has shed a lot of weight and now weighs just 88 grams. It has a 5-megapixel camera, flash and a 720-pixel front camera for FaceTime (video chat).
