  • LOST GLORY n Late singer’s father claims he can substantiate that Ishmeet’s death was unnatural

The family of Ishmeet Singh claims that their belief that 'the young singer was a victim of some conspiracy' has been strengthened after their Maldives visit.

Ishmeet's father Gurpinder Singh and uncle Charankamal Singh along with other relatives came back from their four-day trip to Maldives where they had gone to initiate an inquiry into the singer's death.

Dr Charankamal Singh said, "We plan to hold a press meet in the coming few days where we will show videos of the hotel where Ishmeet had died."

He added, "The staff in the hotel told us that there is little probability of Ishmeet getting injured inside the pool. Ishmeet had an injury mark on the temporal side of his head. Moreover, the pool at the hotel was only 92-inch deep. There are many other things that prove that Ishmeet's death was unnatural."

The late singer's family has always been contesting that Ishmeet was killed and that he did not die due to drowning. However, the post-mortem conducted at the local Civil Hospital clearly states that the singer died due to drowning. The police statements of the eyewitness recorded by the Maldives police also say that Ishmeet went into the pool with two other troupe members. The trio was at the shallow end of the pool, when Ishmeet decided to go towards the deep end. They then saw Ishmeet crying for help. Ishmeet was taken out of the pool and rushed to the nearest hospital, where all efforts to revive him proved futile.
