Former chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation today said ISRO leadership could not be blamed for the failure of the launch of Geo-Synchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle from Sriharikota twice. Speaking to newsmen after inaugurating a technical fest at Mangalam Engineering College here,Nair said technical failure was cited to be the main reason for its failure. This was quite evident after a thorough examination conducted by a team of experts including Madhavan Nair,he said. He reiterated that there was no need for blaming an individual or a management for the failure, which will not affect the image of ISRO. GSLV-F06 was launched on december 25 which ended in a failure with the vehicle losing control 47 seconds after its flight breaking up into pieces and erupting into a ball of flame. The controllability of the vehicle was lost as the command to control it did not reach the actuator system.
