Kareena or Deepika - Who will play Sati in Shuddhi?

It's confirmed that Hrithik Roshan is all set to play Lord Shiva in Shuddhi, the movie adaptation of author Amish Tripathi's Immortals of Meluha, but the battle is now on for the leading lady.

According to reports, it will be either Deepika Padukone or Kareena Kapoor who will get to play the role of Lord Shiva's wife Sati in the movie to be produced by Karan Johar.

Kareena and Hrithik have earlier worked in movies like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Mujhse Dosti Karoge whereas Deepika has never worked with the Dhoom actor.

But reports are that since Deepika's date are full she may not be able to sign for the role and chances are that Kareena, who is currently shooting for Satyagraha, bagging the role are very high.

The movie is currently in its pre-production stage and director Karan Malhotra of Agneepath fame is likely to begin the film's shoot by November this year.
