    The 'King of Pop' Michael Jackson may soon be given the title of "American Legend" officially.

    The 'King of Pop' Michael Jackson may soon be given the title of "American Legend" officially.

    The resolution, giving the ultimate tribute to the pop legend, is to be debated before the House of Representatives.

    Texas congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, who attended Jackson's memorial as a representative of the US House of Representatives and the Congressional Black Caucus, said that the Resolution 600 will be presented to politicians this week.

    "It claims Michael Jackson as an American Legend and musical icon, a world humanitarian (and) someone who will be honoured forever and forever and forever and forever and forever," Lee said at the Staples Center while showing the resolution to the fans.

    "We are the world and we are better because Michael Joseph Jackson lived... Michael Jackson, I salute you," Lee had said in a tribute.
