Chief Minister K Rosaiah, who faces uncomfortable questions everyday over the demand to make Y S Jaganmohan Reddy as CM, on Tuesday gave vent to his feelings and frustration.
Speaking to mediapersons, he said that in spite of a strong stand taken by the Congress High Command that he would continue as the CM, some Congress leaders in the state did not seem to understand it.
"There is nothing wrong if some people in the party demand that Y S Jaganmohan be made Chief Minister. But they should understand that a decision has already been taken and they stand the risk of being punished by the high command if they continue to stir trouble,” Rosaiah said.
“I have no problem if these people pursue their demands in a fair and democratic manner. I know I did not ask for this post and everyone knows under what circumstances I took over as the CM,” he said, adding that he felt sorry for the Congress leaders who were forced to obey the high command's decision. “There are minor irritants but they can be handled. I don't have any enemies neither in the party nor elsewhere and I don't want to make any.”
Claiming that he enjoyed the support and cooperation of all the ministers in his Cabinet, Rosaiah said no one was opposing openly. “Right now they have no option but to obey the high command,” he said. “I know that they are not opposing me directly but they are expressing their preference in other ways. I will continue as long as the high command wants me to.”
