And does worry cross your mind at some point?
Yes. I’m a human being. I pray to God a lot, and I just have faith.
So what happens? Do you get a fright sometimes? A cold sweat, if, God forbid, I have to go back again through the last 18 months . . .
Yes, sometimes it happens, it does happen. Then, just like I said, I really believe in the Almighty. I believe in the judiciary of our country. I believe in the people of my country. And it makes me feel better.
But the fact is, at least, the charge of terrorism is off your head.
Yes. It’s a great relief. And I wish my father were alive to hear those words. That’s what he wanted to hear.
When your father was around, I’m sure these worries were still there. I’m sure you asked your father what to do. How did he advise you?
You know, that’s what we miss in Dad. He was such a pillar of strength. He just stood by there like a rock. I mean, I’d lean on him. I knew he’d just say, ‘Son, I’m there.’ That’s one thing we all miss a lot.
Do you remember some conversation when he said something to you that stays with you?
No, he used to just hold me, he used to give me so much strength. We really miss him.
