He added that the possession of the existing 130 booths will be handed over shortly while the tenders to construct the remaining booths have been floated to complete the work within one year.
For the 9 persons, whose claims for allotment of booths were rejected as they were allegedly claiming more than one booth in a single dependent family, the CM has reportedly asked the GMADA to construct 14 additional booths to accommodate the left-out persons, if need be, after re-examining their cases afresh, claimed area councillor Harman Preet Singh Prince.
Prince, today, led a delegation of kiosk owners to meet GMADA CA, who apprised them of the decision taken by the authority at its recent meeting, the minutes of which were sent for a formal approval to the CM.
