JBT teachers’ talks with CM remain inconclusive

Hundreds of teachers being imparted junior basic training (JBT),who descended on Shimla for a mass protest rallly outside the Secretariat on Wednesday,had to return disappointed as their talks with Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal remained inconclusive. They are demanding regular jobs. Official reports said a delegation of the teachers were taken to the chief minister so that they could be persuaded to withdraw their agitation and accept the offer of contractual jobs after completion of their training,but they refused to budge. The government had issued a warning to the striking trainees on Tuesday to resume their training and call off the strike.
