Jessica Simpson compares divorce to death

Jessica Simpson is finding it hard to handle her single life and has compared divorce to a death in the family.

Actress-singer Jessica Simpson is finding it hard to handle her single life and has compared divorce to a death in the family.

The ‘Blonde Ambition’ star divorced husband Nick Lachey in 2006 but Simpson has now termed her divorce as “a death in the family.”

“It was hard to imagine I would ever walk down the aisle again. You go through the mourning stage, then the rebellion, and then all of a sudden you have to find life by yourself,” Simpson said in an interview to Glamour magazine.

“Once you do that, you feel complete and that’s the only time you can truly fall in love again, and give yourself over completely to another person,” Simpson added.

Simpson had starred with her then husband Lachey in the reality show,’Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica’ in 2003.

“I loved everything about marriage. I loved having a companion to wake up with and have barbecues with. But things happen and people grow apart. I don’t really ever talk about the divorce because it was a heart-wrenching thing to go through. It’s a very, very personal thing,” she added.

Simpson is all praises about her recent ex-football quarterback Tony Romo, saying,”Tony never ever places judgment. You can just relax and feel beautiful. He’s just that type of person.”
