Jet stocks soar, IndiGo, BA in talks
New Delhi: Jet Airways' stocks touched a high of Rs 623.40 during the day's trade and closed 0.71 per cent higher at Rs 609.85 on reports of a possible deal with Etihad being as early as Friday. The Wall Street Journal reported British Airways was in talks with IndiGo over a ticketing and baggage sharing agreement.
Turkmenistan, India to spur TAPI project
new delhi: India and Turkmenistan on Tuesday agreed to take necessary steps for early realisation of the ambitious TAPI gas pipeline project. During the 4th meeting of India-Turkmenistan Inter-Governmental Commission, the MEA said, "It was noted that TAPI project has made significant progress since the visit of Turkmenistan president Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to India in May 2010. Both sides agreed to take necessary steps for early realisation of the project."
