Jharkhand deputy CM offers to mediate between BJP,JMM

Jharkhand Deputy Chief Minister Sudesh Mahto offered to mediate between the BJP and the JMM.

Jharkhand Deputy Chief Minister Sudesh Mahto on Thursday offered to mediate between the BJP and the JMM in resolving the issue that arose over Chief Minister Shibu Soren’s vote in favour of the UPA during a cut-motion in Lok Sabha.

“I have pleaded with both the parties. I told them we have formed the government on December 30 with a vow to help the people. Keeping the interest of the state in mind,matters should be resolved at the earliest,” Mahto,whose party AJSU is an ally of the government,told a press conference here.

Asked whether he was in favour of a leadership change of the JMM-BJP,he said everything should be discussed.

“I hope matters will be resolved soon,” Mahto said and urged the BJP to accept Hemant Soren’s apology for his father Shibu Soren voting for the UPA on a cut motion and request for a review on the decision to withdraw support.

He was speaking at the residence of Drinking Water Minister Chandraprakash Choudhary,where four other AJSU MLAs were present.
