Jharkhand MLA beats up youngsters for eve teasing

Local papers published photographs of Mahto beating up the two youngsters with sticks.

A Jharkhand MLA beat up two youngsters with sticks for eve teasing after summoning them,at Aamtola village in Jharkhand’s Bokaro district.

The JMM MLA Jagannath Mahto who represents Dumri assembly constiturency summoned the youngsters Mahendra Mahto and Mithun Ansari after a girl complained to him about eve teasing by the two on January 11.

“What will a father do when a son commits a mistake? I have punished them as a father,” Mahto told newsmen when asked about the incident.

Director General of Police,Neyaz Ahmed,when asked about the incident today said in Ranchi,”No one will be allowed to take the law in their own hands.”

The police,however,had not received any complaint,he added.
