JK govt sanctions 1.4 cr for natural calamity

J-K govt sanctioned Rs 1.4 crore for 12 districts of Kashmir division to meet contingencies due to natural calamities.

Jammu and Kashmir government today sanctioned Rs 1.4 crore for 12 districts of Kashmir division,including frontier Ladakh region,to meet contingencies due to natural calamities.

Divisional Commissioner,Kashmir,Asgar Hassan Samoon released the funds in favour of Deputy Commissioners of Kashmir Division,out of the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF),an official spokesman said here.

While Rs 25 lakh have been released for Srinagar,Rs 20 lakh each were given to Baramulla and Kupwara,he said.

Rs 10 lakh each was granted to Anantnag,Bandipora,Budgam,Pulwama,Leh and Kargil and Rs 5 lakh each to Shopian,Kulgam and Ganderbal districts,the spokesman said.
