  • Although the identity of the four militants belonging to Kerala killed in north Kashmir earlier this month has been established, J-K Police are yet to decide about the burial of the slain militants. The bodies have been lying in the police mortuary in Srinagar for the past three weeks.

J-K Police say they are expecting the bereaved family members of the militants to arrive in the next few days. “We can’t dispose of the bodies without the permission of their families or the Kerala Police,” Senior Superintendent of Police, Police Control Room, Shokwat Malik told The Indian Express. “The Kerala Police have informed the families of the four slain militants but there has been no response from them.”
