An agreement signed between MDLR chairman Gopal Goyal Kanda and Geetika Sharma required her to report to him everyday after work in the evening hours.

The Delhi Police informed the Rohini additional chief metropolitan magistrate's court about this agreement on Monday. Signed on January 2011, it strengthens the allegations that the former airhostess was being harassed by the former Haryana minister, driving her to suicide last week. Sharma named Kanda along with another MDLR executive, Aruna Chadha, in her suicide note.

According to investigating officials, Kanda was refusing to let go of Sharma and threatening her. The agreement, which mentions the condition requiring her to meet him everyday right at the end, was signed when she was being hired back by MDLR as a director on a monthly salary of Rs 60,000.

In an application seeking Chadha's remand on Saturday, the police had told the court that they were trying to "unearth the places where the deceased (Sharma) was made to terminate her pregnancies on various occasions".

One of the places being looked at, according to sources, is an ultrasound clinic located in the heart of Sirsa, Kanda's hometown. Sources said Chadha had revealed during interrogation that Sharma had undergone an abortion at the clinic, one of the oldest in Sirsa, last year. Owned by a doctor couple, the clinic had been in the news in the 1990s for carrying out sex-determination tests and aborting female foetuses.

Chadha was remanded in three-day police custody on Monday.

Public prosecutor Rajeev Mohan also told the ACMM court about Sharma being made chairperson of the Sundell Educational Society in 2010-11 by Kanda, reportedly in a bid to stop her from going back to the Emirates to join the Emirates Airlines. Chadha was the secretary of the society. Mohan said Sharma was made its head though she had no connection with the society.
