Hollywood actor Jude Law may be eager to see his newly born daughter with aspiring actress Samantha Burke but he is torn between her and his other three children.

The 'Cold Mountain' star is said to be keen to meet five week old Sophia but wants to be sure his three other children are comfortable with the situation first, Daily Mail reported.

The 36-year-old actor had initially said that he wanted nothing further to do with Samantha, but promised financial security to her and the child.

"He felt it would be easiest to just pay Samantha and hope that she moved on and left him alone. But now he is feeling very torn," a source said.

"He is on the brink of going to see Sophia but first of all, he wants to make sure his older kids feel totally secure and to make them feel they are involved in what is one of the biggest decisions of his life," the source added.

Law has three children, Rafferty, 13, Iris, nine and Rudy, seven, from his marriage to fashion designer Sadie Frost.
