Judicial custody of Ram Sene Chief Mutalik ends today

Pramod Mutalik was arrested for allegedly making inflammatory speech at Kyathamaranahalli,a Mysore suburb,in April this year.

The judicial custody of Sri Ram Sene Chief Pramod Mutalik,who was arrested for allegedly making inflammatory speech at Kyathamaranahalli,a Mysore suburb,in April this year,ends Tuesday.

On July 25,the Sessions Court sent him to judicial custody till Tuesday.

Mutalik,who had visited Kyathamaranahalli after the communal clashes in April,had allegedly addressed a gathering of local residents in the locality. The Police had registered a case.

On July 24 night,Mysore City Police arrested Mutalik from Belgaum city and charged Mutalik under Section 120,153 and 295 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Senior Police official said Mutalik had made a provocative speech in the aftermath of the group clashes involving two communities in the city during April this year.

One of the accused arrested for the violence in Mysore,which occurred earlier this month,had revealed that he was inspired by the Mutalik’s speech made in April.
