A posse of sub-continental hopefuls, mostly Indians, and a handful of Pakistanis, pledge their life savings into an illegal passage to the UK. Of course, the agent turns out to be a cook, and their journey becomes a hazardous, death-filled trek, across mountains in Russia, and ports in Turkey, and jungles in between.
Mann’s movie is more cartoon strip than anything else in the way it is loud and cliché filled. Not even Sunny Deol, who shows up in the second half, in knock-off Ray-bans and army fatigues, promising those still hoping to get to merry England, a way back home, can do anything to make the film sittable-through.
