Punjab Agricultural University Vice Chancellor Dr Manjit Singh Kang has said that he has never worked for the seed giant Monsanto and has no association with the company whatsoever.
Referring to news item in these columns on October 16, under the headline `It’s both bouquets and brickbats for Bt brinjal’, Dr Kang said it contained erroneous information regarding his employment. The report “has not only tried to re-write my professional resume but has also created an erroneous impression among public about me’’.
The error is regretted.
