Pakistan's National Security Adviser Mahmud Ali Durrani has not ruled out Mohammad Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone terrorist captured alive during the Mumbai terror attacks, being a Pakistani national.

"Could be. I am not saying more than that because we don't have, I hate to say this we don't have proof," Durrani told a TV channel when asked if some of the Mumbai attackers including Kasab could be from Pakistan.

Durrani's remarks came in the backdrop of Pakistan's constant denial that there was any Pakistani link to the Mumbai attacks.

Durrani however said that till now there is no evidence of involvement of Pakistani nationals in the November 26 carnage and that India should let the investigations into the attacks finish first.

Durrani said that Pakistani government was looking at the letter written by Kasab in which he requested consular access, and also wanted to meet the Pakistani High Commissioner in India. Kasab has also asked for for legal aid from Pakistan in the same letter.

He said Pakistan was looking at the letter from Kasab and trying to formulate its response. He also stressed that Pakistan was also a victim of terror just like India.

The simple fact reamins that India's Internal Security is just a Joke. Indian leaders have ZERO interest in protecting its citizens. All they care is the next general elections and how they stay in power. The fact that this time the attact was on upper class comunity and coperate world has shaken the government. These corporate world is responsible for the funds they provide the politicians and help them to come to power so that corporate world benifits. So now the leaders are under pressure to take actions so that such things don't happen in future.In the end our poor cops don't even have proper bullet proof vests and latest wepons. India should stop all its Moon Missions and showbiss of superpower by first providing latest and best equipment to the police and make our internal security foolproof.

We are outpaced whenever we are faced with diplomatic moves which may be started by us or by the enemy. Even when defending the strong moves intiated by us post Mumbai attack Pakistan has stolen a march over us with the other powers worying more about the Afghan border than our plight or the ithreat posed by Pakistani patronage to terrorists. The reasons are clear we have failed to evolve system of accountability. More damaging is the trend to gloss over failures instead of analysing the causer and learn lessons. The intectuals and the people who can influence the leadership to perform are immersed in easy pursuits and the few who want to contribute plough lone furrow for lack of resources. The result is the mediocre leadership and poor quality of services. India needs to awaken to these shortcomings now otherwise a dark future looks us in the face. DPK

HOW MANY TIMES ARE THEY DISCLOSING IT AND THEN COVERING IT. WHERE DID THEY REACH WITH IT? THE WHOLE WORLD KNOW THAT THE TERRORISTS CAME FROM PAKISTAN. NAWAZ SHARIF MADE CATEGORICAL STATEMENT ABOUT KASAB'S VILLAGE AND HOME AND THE SECURITY CORDON IMPOSED THERE BY THE GOVT. HE DID NOT DENY IT LATER; BUT ASKED INDIA TO PROVIDE THE GOVT. OF PAKISTAN ENOUGH EVIDENCE. WHAT MUSHARAF SAID IS OF NO SIGNIFICANC, AS HE WAS TRYING TO PLEASE THE RULERS FOR HIS OWN EXISTENCE. PAKISTAN SHOULD NOW GRACEFULLY CORNER ALL THOSE INVOLVED IN THE MUMBAI ATTACH, THEIR PERPETRATORS, AS DEMANDED BY INDIA TO REGAIN THE PRESTIGE AND VALUE IT LOST AMONG THE WORLD COMMUNITY AND COME TO THE MAIN STREAM.
