Kasab will be produced before Justice M L Tahiliyani along with two co-accused Fahim Ansari and Sabahuddin Ahmed.

The trial of the lone surviving gunman in the Mumbai terror attack case, Ajmal Amir Kasab, is scheduled to begin on April 15 in the Arthur Road jail premises.

Kasab will be produced before Justice M L Tahiliyani along with two other accused Fahim Ansari and Sabahuddin Ahmed.

The court has also directed the jail authorities to hand over the chargesheet on Kasab which is with him inside the prison. Kasab had earlier told judge Tahilyani that he could not understand the language of 11,000 page charge-sheet but the court replied that his lawyer Anjali Waghmare is proficient in both Marathi and English languages and would brief him about the chargesheet.

The trial in the Mumbai terror attack case was postponed as the construction of the special court was not yet over. A portion of the jail has been segregated for Kasab’s cell and the court. Kasab is lodged in an isolated cell and is not allowed to meet other prisoners.
