Kashmiri Pandits ask CM,Governor to ensure security of Hindus

Condemning the attack on Kashmiri pandits youth by some miscreants and threatening them to leave the Valley,All Parties Migrant Coordination Committee said that there is apprehension of fresh migration of pandits from Kashmir in view of recent incident and asked Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Governor NN Vohra to ensure their security.

“We have taken serious note for the prevailing anti-Kashmiri minority campaign in the valley by some miscreants. Some youngsters of the community were beaten up at Chattabal temple in Srinagar city few days back and asked to leave the Valley,” APMCC chairman Vinod Pandit told reporters here on Wednesday.

Pandit,who is the member of government formed apex committee on Migrants and Shri Amarnath Shrine Advisory Board,said,”We fear fresh migration of those minority community families,who remained there for past 20 years of militancy,if the state government failed to ensure confidence building measures and security.”

“We urged Governor NN Vora and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to look into the issue of threats and beating of minority youth Chattabal temple. They should ensure security and confidence building measures forthwith to avoid fresh migration from valley,” he said.
