Katju remained unfazed and found nothing wrong in judges taking up post-retirement jobs. "Dozens of retired judges were appointed to various posts when the NDA was in power and Jaitley was the law minister. Why did he not say anything which he is saying now? He should have resigned from the BJP and the government," he said. Katju also referred to the appointment of two retired judges as governors during the NDA regime. "Why Jaitley is now questioning such appointments. Why this double standards?" he asked.
