US-based pianist Arunesh Nadgir will recite tunes of players like Beethoven, Liszt and Chopin during his performance at the Poona Music Society
Known for his lyrical and introspective interpretations, Arunesh Nadgir, a promising young pianist from the US, will enthrall the audiences in the city with his intense talent at a performance organised by The Poona Music Society. Nadgir says that the Piano explores emotions and interest and with its different notes of registrations it intensely encompasses an all mix of human emotions."
Nadgir, who has appeared extensively as a soloist and chamber musician in the US and Europe says Pune is a cultural city and recognises good talent. "It is a homely place. I have always traveled to Pune to visit my friends and relatives," he says, adding, "I will be playing the fine pieces created by masters like Beethoven, Liszt and Chopin at the recital on Saturday."
After graduating with a Bachelor of Music degree with academic honors from the New England Conservatory of Music, Boston, where he studied with Wha Kyung Byun, Nadgir has further received a Master of Music degree from The Julliard School, New York under the tutelage of Robert McDonald, "Piano has been my interest since childhood when my parent got me to take my first classes at age of seven. It has been my best friend since then. By the time I was 16 I had already decided to take it ahead as my profession," he says. "Piano is one of those instruments that has the power to convey a wide range of emotions, which can be intense and direct. It's a keyboard which immediately directs the wave of emotion," feels Nadgir.
