  • SO Samarjeet, meanwhile, told Newsline over the phone that he did not put Aggarwal in the lockup.

“On June 24, a bleeding Aggarwal came to me and told me that Singh and his accomplices beat him up. After his medical examination, we registered case of attempt to murder (307 IPC) against Rahul,” SO Samarjeet said.

Mandawli police officers said Aggarwal and Singh were business partners and had a fallout. On June 22, Aggarwal registered a complaint of theft against Singh at Mandawli police station.

“There are allegations from Aggarwal. We are investigating. No kidnapping case has been registered yet. UP police is also conducting investigations,” said a police officer at Mandawli police station.
