‘Killer’ mom dies in suicide bid

Varsha Ramani (36) strangulated Dhruvi (9) and Parth (3) in the early hours of Monday at her home in Naranpura and then slit her wrist.

Her husband Manish found her lying in a pool of blood and the children dead when he woke up in the morning. Varsha was rushed to the Life Care Hospital and the bodies of the children sent to V S Hospital for postmortem.

Investigating Officer,Inspector N R Chauhan said,“We are waiting for the postmortem report to ascertain the exact cause of death.”

Sources added that Varsha had also consumed sleeping pills before slitting her wrist,which complicated matters. But the exact cause of death will be ascertained only after the postmortem report is out.
