Despite the global economic slowdown, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are looking forward to next season's IPL transfer window with great enthusiasm and are hoping to buy new players.
KKR team director Joy Bhattacharya told The Indian Express that, "Market slowdown is not likely to affect our plans and ideas for the coming season. In fact, the transfer window for players is going to open up soon, and we are looking to buy some really good players for the new season. Let me tell you, there will be no compromise on the finances front when it comes to forming a good team for the coming season."
Meanwhile, the Red Chillies Entertainment officials, who own the team visited the Eden Gardens and took stock of the stadium's condition with four months to go for the IPL's second edition. The Sourav Ganguly-led KKR boys are expected to assemble here in Kolkata in mid-January for the first camp ahead of the new season.
