Another senior official in South Zone said on condition of anonymity: “The contractor is certainly at fault, but there are less chances of him being fined.
The amount, which will be around Rs 1.25 lakh, is too less as compared to what the contractor will be getting in the ROB project. The
only option with us is to divert the line despite the fact that the contractor was informed about the main drainage line.”
