Lanka will split its tour of Pak to accomodate an ODI series against India in February, sources said.

The BCCI has incurred a loss of Rs 120 crore because of cancellation of two ODIs against England and the tour to Pakistan in the wake of the terror attacks in Mumbai and is keen to recover some of the losses.

"We are discussing the possibility of playing a short series against Sri Lanka. We are working on an itinerary which will be acceptable to both the Boards", a top BCCI official said.

"So far we have got a good response from Sri Lankan officials and we are hopeful that the series will materialise", he said.

Sri Lanka's Sports Minister Gamini Lokuge has also confirmed that he was discussing the series with the BCCI.

"We are about 60 per cent certain that we could arrange a series for the Sri Lanka team with India shortly. We have had successful discussions with the Indian Cricket Board and at the moment we are finalising the schedule," Lokuge said.

They are not favouring india too??.....Just let them know...........they are dealing with the most powerfull board on this globe.............We indians would be more than happy if indian board arrange a tour with some countries like , new zealan, australian, englan, west indies..........instead of these lankan or pakistani sides................let these cheep boards face the truth .........that they are not dealing with only a cricketing board, rather they are dealing with the whole cricketing world.....They all powerfull B.C.C.I

Loss happens only when you spend and do not recover the money you spent. If BCCI goes on crying for the lost revenue despite the circumstance that surrounded that then we have something to worry about. I wonder if BCCI cares about what happenned in Mumbai?

cricketBy: chandra k.shekar | 04-Jan-2009 Reply | Forward sri lanka is playing silly games with us and mixing it up with cricket. slbc begs for money from bcci. sl players want to get rich by playing in IPL and then substitute the indian team in pakistan to help pak out after the terrorists attacked india. there is no doubt in my mind that the indians should tell the SLCB and their govt this is a hostle act against the indians and they should be prepared to pay a price for the choices they make.
