Lata Mangeshkar award for singer Hariharan

The singer would receive the award at a function here next month,the selection committee said.

Hariharan had received the Padma Shri in 2004.

The Lata Mangeshkar award is given to a musician and a playback singer in the alternate year. Last year,Rajesh Roshan was named for the award.

Legendary musician Naushad was the first to receive this award in 1984-85.
