  • The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has invited bids from consultancy firms for the study of Gomti Riverfront Development Project site.

The consultancy firms or a consortium having experience of at least one consultancy work of riverfront or lake front development costing above Rs 100 crore in the past five years could only bid for the project. Moreover, firms must have a minimum annual turnover of Rs 5 crore in the form of consultancy fee during the last three years.

“The LDA needs a consultant for the Gomti riverfront development project. Bids have been invited and interested firms could submit their proposals by May 15,” said LDA Joint Director (Land and Development) S B Mishra.

Under the project, the 28-km stretch along the Gomti from Hardoi Road to Shaheed Path would be developed into amusement parks, public utilities, informal markets and open air theatre. The project is inspired by the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Project in Ahmadabad. “LDA is not going to award work to the firm till elections are completed,” said LDA Vice-Chairman Mukesh Kumar Meshram.
