  • Seven months after a teacher, Swagata Choudhury, died after falling on the railway track at Daton Station in West Bengal, her lecturer husband, Pinak Choudhury, was arrested on Sunday for allegedly murdering her. Pinak had said that he along with Swagata (40), a teacher at Jail Road Boys Secondary School in Shillong, and their daughter, were returning from Puri on the Puri Express. Swagata, he had said, fell on the track while trying to board the moving train. She had gotten off the train to chase a thief who had snatched her bag. Swagata’s family, however, suspected foul play and lodged a complaint against Pinak.
