Left Front chairman Biman Bose called Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee an "immature politician at the national level" and accused her party of trying to grab limelight by moving the no-confidence motion against the UPA government.

Describing the motion brought by the Trinamool as "strange, unrealistic and imaginary", Bose said the Left parties decided not to support the motion as the number did not add up and that they will never encourage such kind of populist politics. "It is not possible to achieve everything only by whimsical desire or yearning. I may have the desire to bring down the government down. But that is not enough. Numbers are required for that," Bose quipped.

Commenting on Mamata's post of "saviours of the government" on a social-networking site, Bose said, "We will not come in her way, if she feels mentally contented by making such remarks."

Bose has futher added that the Left Front has set up a target to collect a minimum 1.5 crore signatures during the 50-day campaign in support of ensuring food security to all sections of the society. The campaign will start from December 3 and will continue till January 21.
