Lindsay Lohan says porn role not vulgar
Lohan, who is playing porn star Linda Lovelace in new film 'Inferno',has defended her controversial role.
Troubled star Lindsay Lohan, who is playing porn star Linda Lovelace in new film ‘Inferno’,has defended her controversial role, saying the portrayal will not be “vulgar”.
The 24-year-old actress, who has been ordered by the court to wear an alcohol monitoring bracelet,is all set to begin shooting the biopic later this year.
The movie, which is being directed by Matthew Wilder,is about the infamous ‘Deep Throat’ star’s rise to fame, reported Contactmusic.
Lohan, who is known for her wild ways in Hollywood circuits,is trying to put her floundering career back on track.
But the movie project has already outraged her estranged father Michael, who claims the raunchy role will end his daughter’s acting career for good.
However,Lohan is adamant the movie is not what most people are expecting.
“The way that Matthew (Wilder) wants to shoot it is not vulgar. It’s not about the raw sex and the shots of her fully nude. It’s more about getting into her psyche and seeing how scared she was. That’s what I want to show most in the film,” said the ‘Mean Girls’ star.
“People are going to say,’Oh,Lindsay Lohan is doing a porno.’ But it’s not like that. I’ve never played someone’s true-life story before. A lot of the other movies I did were just brainless for me. So it’s nice to play something where I’m able to experience all these different emotions,” she added.
