Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan had recently said that her father deserves to be put behind bars.

Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan had recently said that her father deserves to be put behind bars and the police seem to have taken her advice as they have arrested Michael Lohan for telephoning an ex-girlfriend.

Lohan’s father was arrested in New York today after calling up ex-girlfriend Erin Muller,who has a restraining order against him,reported TMZ.com.

Michael was charged with criminal contempt of court because Muller has an order of protection restricting him from “trying to communicate by phone.”

The 53-year-old was arrested back in April after he allegedly threatened to kill himself and Muller when she tried to dump him earlier this year.

Michael has long been cut off by his ex-wife Dina,who brought up their two daughters,Lindsay and Ali by herself.
