LJP chief Ramvilas Paswan releases party manifesto for the coming Lok Sabha polls at party office in Patna.

Promising amendments in the Constitution to make Right to Work and Health as fundamental rights, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) on Tuesday said it would ban the RSS, VHP and Bajrang Dal if it comes to power in the country.

Party secretary general Abdul Khaliq while releasing the manifesto told reporters that LJP will also support formation of smaller states like Telengana, Vidarbha, Vikas Pradesh (western UP) and Bundelkhand.

The party also promised reservation for the economically disadvantaged in government service and a quota for women in legislative bodies.

LJP said it would amend the Constitution to enable 15 per cent reservation for minorities, including 10 per cent for Muslims.

The party said it would offer "leakage proof reservations for SCs and STs, SC status for Dalit Muslims and Dalit Christians and land for landless poor belonging to SC and ST communities."

LJP would also give reservations in supplies, dealerships and private sector, extension of reservations in judicial services, revamping of development plan for SCs and STs to ensure proportionate allocation of resources to fast track their all-round development, it said.

The party also promised modernisation of armed forces, expeditious consideration of 'one rank one pension' for them, containment of terrorism and national security guided foreign policy.

Equal rights By: Indian | 08-Apr-2009 Reply | Forward Why do indians need reservation, even if needed in extreme cases it should only be for the economicaly backward, this guy abdul khaliq should sounds like an Illiterate guy, no wonder he's harping on the reservation, and who the heck is he to say all minorities need reservation
Ban on HindustanBy: Abhijit | 07-Apr-2009 Reply | Forward Yes, why not? after that he and his Yadav team ( Lalu and Mulayam not all yadavs) can threaten the nation with terrorist attacks and SIMI backing against whom they don't utter anything or else they will loose their votebank. Majority of Hindus are not against Muslim brothers but must stand together to wipe such poisonous snakes who in the name of secularism divide the nation and keep the communal hatred alive for their selfish motives. Jai ho Hindustan ki !!!
Dare not promise what you can't----By: romesh.sharma | 07-Apr-2009 Reply | Forward CHHOTA MUNH AUR BARHI BAAT.RamvilasPaswan people do understand this is very critical and dirty time when almost every politician gives false statement and shows over-confidence through falsified promises.Promise they can't even dream of filfulling.A person of your status and a party like yours can't ever go near to RSS and VHP.This statement itself will cost you a lotand the consequences will be beyond your imagination. This cheapest way of getting votes through appeasements will cost you even that what you are/have.As Amar singh said about Lal that this kind of remarks of low intellect can come only from a person like LalooPrasad -----and so is with you.Its person's pedigree that shows the real character of a person. You guys don't deserve to leador take some responsible job.Ultimately you are going to shit on the plate you are eating from.Unthankful and insincere.Caste system was/is justified because those wise people new about genes and chromosomes.
