Lone blames separatists, politicians for Kashmir imbroglio

Lone was expressing his views on 'India's K-puzzle' on the micro-blogging site Twitter.

People’s Conference Chairman Sajad Gani Lone blamed both separatists and mainstream politicians for the Kashmir imbroglio saying there will be no change in the situation in the state till these camps existed.

“As long as separatists exist,Kashmir will never secede (from India),” Lone, who unsuccessfully contested the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, said.

He also trained his guns on mainstream political parties saying as long as they existed,”Kashmir will never accede (to India)”.

Lone was expressing his views on “India’s K-puzzle” on the micro-blogging site Twitter.

While Lone dissociated himself from the separatist camp by jumping into electoral politics in 2009,he has been maintaining that it was only a change of strategy in order to take the “voice of Kashmir into the Indian Parliament”.

His elder brother,Bilal Gani Lone,is part of moderate faction of Hurriyat Conference headed by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.

They also head two factions of People’s Conference founded by their father,Abdul Gani Lone, who was killed by militants in 2002 for opposing the presence of foreign ultras in the state.
