Odd defence
* Terrorism has no religion. The BJP’s so-called defence of Pragya Thakur or Lt-Col Purohit is baffling. The anti-terror squad has unveiled the terror face of the Sangh Parivar, and if the investigation proceeds in the right direction it may reveal further names. So it is not defence as much as it is fear. Instead of endorsing fake statements, the BJP should support the investigation and wait for the final outcome. Another point to note: if the ATS is fake, then why do the courts continuously support them?

It’s cricket
* Yuvraj Singh when he gets going is a treat to watch. The resurgent Yuvi deserves all the praise lavished on him. There is however one undesirable aspect of his success: his exuberance. The mouthing of harsh words, as if to prove his point to someone, appears ungraceful. It almost gives an impression that Yuvraj feels he has achieved more than his capability. A more mature reaction is expected from such a gifted and now senior player.
