The first day of the ongoing Blenders Pride Punjab International Fashion Week (BPPIFW) at Ludhiana's Aveda Hotel, saw Delhi-based designer Jatinn Kocchar open the show. The collection "Love song", according to the designer, is an amalgamation of all the emotions, both "jubilant and sombre" that a love song evokes. The well-attended evening opened with singer Shibani Kashyap on stage along with BPPIFW brand ambassador Simran Kaur Mundi walking the ramp, dressed in black lacy ensemble by Kochhar. The collection comprised a variety of silhouettes — from mini dresses, jumpsuits to elegant evening gowns. The fabrics ranged from georgette, chiffon, silk and lycra blended knits. The third edition of Punjab Fashion Week, as it's popularly referred to, brings together 10 Indian and two international designers, including four who are based in Punjab. Along with Mundi, actor-model Arjan Bajwa will also be the face of the week. Designer Neeta Lulla will feature as the grand finale designer for BPPIFW that ends on August 19.
