Madan Mohans website turns one

What began as a modest attempt on the late Madan Mohans birth anniversary on June 25,2009,is now a much appreciated website,very popular with the composers admirers and music lovers today.
In this one year,says a press release from Madan Mohans family,We have been able to interact with his fans,and it has been an overwhelming experience to find so many people still interested in knowing more about him and his music. The site (www.madanmohan.in) has just added some rare pictures,as well as snippets of missing rare songs from Baaghi,Dhoon,Mastana,Memsahib,Fifty Fifty,Chhote Babu,Gateway Of India,Baap Bete,Mohar,Woh Kaun Thi,Nawab Sirajudaulah and Chaalbaaz. Some rare stills and posters of his films will also make interesting viewing for nostalgia buffs.

Last year,Yash Raj Music released Tere Bagair,an album of his unreleased songs. This year the remaining such songs will be put up on the website. An unreleased version of the song Meri aankhon se koi neend as well as an unreleased song,Mujhe apni ankhiyaan de de,both from Pooja Ke Phool,will also be released.
To mark his 86th birth anniversary,three commemorative concerts were also held in Mumbai on June 25 and 26 and a rare 37-minute film,Madan Mohan Forever,can be viewed in four parts on YouTube.
