Six policemen and an Additional SP, Viresh Prabhu, were among the injured, police said, adding that the wounded were rushed to the nearby Wadia and Medicare hospitals.

The jeep of the sub-divisional-magistrate was also damaged in the stone pelting and police resorted to firing in the air to disperse the mob.

Meanwhile, curfew, which was imposed till Tuesday morning in the blast locality near Noorani mosque was relaxed today, police said.

The blast took place near a hotel in Bhikku Chowk around 2145 hrs last night and the bomb was reportedly planted in a silver coloured Hero Honda Passion motorcycle, which was found near the site, they added.

Did Bomb Explode while Being Packed to another destination?By: V.Mehtta | 02-Oct-2008 Reply | Forward There was a report in a marathi newspaper that the bomb went off when it was being packed on a motor bike and that the people in the locality attacked police stations so that they will not investigate the matter further and book a large number of the community.Seeing the chain of violent reactions of the people around, it appears to be true and all these protests were ploys and tricks just to protect the guilty.
TERRORISMBy: PESHORI AHUJA | 01-Oct-2008 Reply | Forward POLITICIANS ARE THE WORST ENEMY.FOR THEIR GAIN, THEY WOULD CREATE HATRED BETWEEN DIFFERENT RELIGIONS, BETWEEN DIFFERENT SECTS, BETWEEN FARMERS AND BUSINEESS PEOPLE, BETWEEN URBANITES AND VILLAGERS, BWTWEEN WORKERS AND EMPLOYERS.WE ATTRIBUTE "DIVIDE AND RULE POLICY' TO BRITISHERS. IT IS VERY MUCH THERE IN INDIA EVEN NOW.THE NEED OF THE DAY IS FOR ALL COUNTRY MEN, WITHOUT CAST OR CREED, TO RISE TOGETHER AND MAKE THEM TO ACCOUNT FOR THEIR FAILURE TO CONTROL TERRORISM.THEI STATEMENTS THAT WE WOULD ROOT OUT TERRORISM HAVE MISERABLY FAILED TO ACHIEVE THE RESULT.
TERRORISMBy: PESHORI AHUJA | 01-Oct-2008 Reply | Forward THERE WERE BLASTS IN RAJASTHAN, GUJARAT, AND KARNATKA. IIN ALL THE THREE CASES THE HOME MINISTER OF INDIA SAID THAT THE STATE GOVT. WAS DULY WARNED. THESE ARE BJP RUN STATES. THUS IMPLIEDLY TNE UPA (CONGRESS) PUT THE BLAME ON BJP AND POLITICALISED THE BLASTS.iT OCCURRED IN DELHI. NO STATEMENT FROM HOME MINISTER WHETHER THE STATE GOVT. HAD BEEN WARNED. INSTEAD A STATEMENT BY THE CONGRESS PRESIDENT "WE WOULD ROOT OUT THE TERRORISM". THE LATEST IS IN MAHARASHTRA. AGAIN NO STATEMENT BY THE HOME MINISTER BUT INSTEAD A STATEMENT BY THE CONGRESS PRESIDENT "WE HAVE THE CAPABILITY TO ROOT OUT TERRORISM AND ANOTHER SENTENCE BLAMING THE CRITICS OF POLITIICALSING THE EVENT."A DOUBLE STANDARD. "HEAD I WIN TAIL YOU LOSE" THIS IS THE CENTRAL GOVT. THAT HAS TO BE IMPARTIAL. MAY GOD BLESS INDIA.
Terror and communalist hatredBy: Sabrina | 01-Oct-2008 Reply | Forward As a Westerner, I am really worried that your country today is where Rwanda was in early 90s. (google Rwanda genocide). Jehadi terror is all over the world, but the reactions to it in India are quite different. You don't see these incidents as what they are. You see them in light of your history, and you react accordingly, or, purpose to do so. The mistrust between Hindus and Muslims, shapes the views here. You cannot distinguish between terrorists and ordinary citizens, mixed in this mess is communal politics. The internet chatter on Indian sites is filled with hate. There is no one with credibility to stop this madness. Those who try to stop it are labelled as 'communists', 'pseudo-seculars' and even traitors. Terrorists may kill some here and there, and that only if they succeed. But hatred against entire communities is a sure receipe for disaster. In Rwanda the Huttu majority, listiening to FM radios were talking themselves up into a frenzy- result:genocide and ruin.
Terrorist attacksBy: Rajeev | 01-Oct-2008 Reply | Forward Amit, secularism for hindus only ? Marxists and Congress made the vast Hindu community a helpless, ununited and secular mass which is unable to react to any kind of attacks, killings and conversions. Intolerance to others is inseparable in semetic relegions. Everyone knows who is behind the terrorist attacks. Try to understand thatHinduism is not a relegion, but it is a way of life. It is rightly called as Sanatana Dharma by our ancient Sages and Rishis.
