    The ATS has picked up a person from Bhopal for his suspected involvement in the Malegaon blasts.

    The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Maharashtra Police has picked up a person from Bhopal for his suspected involvement in the Malegaon blasts and taken him to Mumbai, sources said on Sunday.

    However, senior police officials including Inspector General (IG), Special Task Force (STF), Sanjeev Singh denied having any information in this regard but confirmed that the ATS team is in the state for taking into its custody suspected persons specially after the arrest of three persons from MP.

    The ATS had earlier arrested three persons from Madhya Pradesh and detained another from Dewas town in the state for their suspected role in Malegaon and Modasa blasts.

    A team of ATS officials have arrived in the state a few days and conducted raids at several places including Bhopal, Indore, Dewas, Jabalpur and Gwalior in search of the suspected persons, the sources said.

    Madhya Pradesh Police remained tight-lipped on the issue and is not revealing any information in this regard.

    However, the ATS team is acting in the state by informing about their actions to the state police, the sources added.
