Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil on Thursday said it was wrong to blame the entire Armed Forces for the acts of an individual.
Patil’s remark came against the backdrop of the arrest of a serving Army officer for his alleged involvement in terror acts.
“If an incident takes place, it would be wrong to blame the whole community for that. Not all people of the community are responsible for that incident,” Patil told a TV channel.
“If a man in uniform has committed some mistake that doesn’t mean that all men in uniform are like that,” he said.
It is the mistake of one person, not of all, Patil said.
