A complaint has been filed against a woman and her parents at Pandesara police station in the case of a suicide of her husband. The police have started investigations in the case.
According to the case details, the police had found a suicide note from the pocket of Shaileshkumar Tiwari (32) accusing his wife and his in-laws for physical and mental harassment.
Police said Tiwari, a resident of Balwadi Street area in Maghob village in Pandesara was a native of Uttar Pradesh and worked at a cloth shop at Ring road. Tiwari, on Thursday night, committed suicide by hanging himself in his room. On Friday evening, the neighbours peeped inside the room and found him hanging. The neighbours later informed police about the incident which rushed to the spot and sent his body for the post mortem.
Police also found a suicide note from Tiwari’s pocket in which
he had claimed he is taking the extreme step because of mental and physical torture by his in-laws and his wife.
On Sunday, his body was handed over to his relative who came down to Surat and later a complaint was registered by his brother Rameshchandra at Pandesara police station.
Police said Tiwari married Suman, daughter of Jagatnarayan Tiwari, also a resident of Uttar Pradesh four years ago and they had a two-year-old son Siddharth.
Pandesara Police Inspector K M Gohil said, “We have found that the deceased was mentally and physically harassed by his in-laws including his wife. We will send our team to Uttar Pradesh to arrest all the accused.”
