Ajit Singh, 72, was on Saturday afternoon crushed to death at Ludhiana bus stand while a bus driver was parking his bus (PB03R3025) at the Moga bus-counter.

The driver, Raja Singh went unnoticed that Singh was standing behind near the bus counter waiting and his over speeding bus crushed him on-the-spot to death.

The police have registred an FIR on the complaint of Singh’s son Rajinder Singh and the driver has been arrested. Singh,a resident of Dashmesh Ngar, Moga,had come to take his medicine at DMCH and after taking the medicine was waiting for his bus at the bus stand when this incident happened.

The family was in a state of shock to know about this incident. Ajit Singh’s son Rajinder Singh got an FIR registered against the driver although the driver lobby was putting a pressure on him to reach a compromise.

Rajinder Singh came soon after this accident, but the post-mortem of the body was done on Monday morning and only afterwards, the family took away the body for cremation at Moga.
