Man found murdered near Sanjivani hospital

A man was allegedly murdered in the open space near Sanjivani Hospital off Karve Road in the early hours of Saturday.

A man was allegedly murdered in the open space near Sanjivani Hospital off Karve Road in the early hours of Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Santosh Sahebrao Bhavar (30),a resident of Rajendra Nagar in Navi Peth. His brother Sanjay Bhavan (20) has lodged a complaint with the Deccan Gymkhana police against Amol Tapkire and Sarode,both residents of Rajendra Nagar.

According to the police,Bhavar left home on Friday night. He told his wife that he was going out with a friend. The police said that Bhavar went to Khilarewadi on a motorcycle with the suspects. He was found dead at the open space near Sanjivani hospital on Saturday morning.

His throat was found gashed with a sharp weapon. The motive behind the murder is not known. The police,however,suspect that it was a well-planned murder. A search for Tapkir and Sarode has been launched.
