Man moves HC to get back wife

Sabeena’s brothers and other relatives traced them and lured the couple to Srinagar saying Sabeena’s father was critically ill and he wanted to see Sabeena before his death.

But,according to Ravi’s petition,when they reached their hometown,Khanyar,near Shrinagar,he was asked to return and forget the girl.

After a few days Ravi was informed that the family will agree to their relationship if he converts to Islam within 15 days.

Ravi states that he is willing to convert,but he will have to wait for at least a month as the High Court has adjourned hearing on his petition for four weeks. Earlier,Sabeena had moved HC seeking protection against alleged threats from her family members. The court had directed Sakinaka police to provide protection to the couple.
